October 2020. The city of Fort Collins and Open International is proud to announce their joint presentation of Fort Collin’s story at the TMG Virtual Utility Forum. The session, to be held on October 6th at 2:45 pm EST, will focus on how Fort Collins embarked on the project of launching a new full-service retail model that provides internet, video, and phone services (Triple-Play) to the residential and commercial markets while addressing issues such as the city’s journey from their technology selection through to the implementation process leveraging a cloud architecture solution.
Colman Keane, Broadband Executive Director with the City of Fort Collins, and Hernando Parrott, North America President of Open International, will share the city´s digital renovation project, where it decided to not only replace its core billing system but add broadband services to their portfolio with the audience.
The City of Fort Collins selected Open Smartflex as the platform to replace the legacy customer information system (CIS). The biggest challenge was being able to handle electric, water, sewer, stormwater, and broadband services (Internet, video, and phone) within one system.
“During this virtual session, we will not only discuss how Fort Collins Utilities embarked in a digital renovation project and the benefits they gained from deploying Open Smartflex through a hybrid cloud, but also have the opportunity to exemplify Open´s commitment towards our clients, as we believe that through technology, we can empower American utilities to succeed and increase customer satisfaction. We invite you to register and join us to discover how cloud solutions can improve your business.”
